This postcard shows a work by an Art nouveau artist F. W. Kleuken (died 22.08.1956 in Nürtingen) dated 1908/1910. Kleuken is a participant the former "Artist Colony" - a creative group in Darmstadt, Germany that consisted of many famous people and created at the beginning of the 20th century. It's a mosaic from the ground floor of the Wedding Tower (Hochzeitsturm) and is an allegory of love. The subject goes back to the wedding of the great duke Ernst Ludwig and princess Eleonore von Solms-Hohensolms-Lich in year 1905.
