Postcrossing has an interesting thing like postcards from rare countries. Generally it's considered to be a country with less than 30 000 postcards send overall (Latvia is also in this group, about 5 000 cards left till the number). And the probability of getting a postcard from such country is low, because there are less participants who can't send a postcard to every single person. I was quite lucky to have my 4th postcard from a rare country.
